  • Project Manager

    Bruns Bros has a unique position in the food and beverage industry in New England where the expertise and knowledge of a large percentage of the processing facilities combined with direct access to industry leading solutions allows Bruns Bros to provide efficient and high quality solutions to clients to suit all process needs.

    The Bruns Bros structure is designed to improve efficiency and our ability to serve our clients at a high level. As a result of this structure a project manager at Bruns Bros is expected to serve a number of different roles. A Bruns Bros Project Manager is expected to sell work and serve clients from start to finish on all process needs. This includes, but is not limited to, performing site visits, drafting designs and drawings, generating quotes, assembling the materials and personnel required for a job, coordinating with the client and overseeing the installation as needed to assure a successful installation.

    A Bruns Bros Project Manager is expected to be the resource for both the foreman and the client for expertise on all things process and therefore is expected to be knowledgeable about both the installation work and the welding process required for each job in addition to the system operation and all of the equipment that is impacted by the work being performed.

    As a process equipment supplier, a project manager will be most successful if there is a high-level understanding of all process equipment and instrumentation stocked and commonly sold by Bruns Bros in addition to a comprehensive understanding of the full range of products from major partners and how to implement the technology effectively into a process design.

    A project manager is exposed to several different food and beverage clients in both the products they manufacture and the production capacity at which they produce. This access to the full spectrum of clients throughout New England allows Bruns to bring a unique solution to each client and each problem to best suit their needs and budget. As a result, a project manager is expected to understand these aspects about each of their clients in order to deliver these solutions in a timely manner.

    This position will be found exciting and rewarding for a self-motivated and creative thinker who puts in the time to build relationships with their clients and puts in the time to bring the best solution forward.

    Job Requirements:

    • OSHA-10 HR Training
    • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D
    • Proficient in 3D CAD Software (Preferred)
    • Proficient with core Microsoft Office Products
    • 5+ years in the Food and Beverage Industry
    • Is able to travel to client sites as needed

  • Pipe Fitter/Welder I

    As with all Bruns positions, this position will require a strong work ethic with a desire to learn and contribute to a smooth and efficient installation. The tasks expected from a fitter/welder I include, but are not limited to assisting with setting up, performing non-sanitary welds, making and installing hangers, cleaning pipe welds and preparing sanitary material.

    While a typical road schedule is Monday-Thursday, the job often requires weekends and longer hours to properly support our clients.

    Job Requirements:

    • Tig Welding non-sanitary applications
    • Driver's License
    • OSHA-10hr Training (Preferred)
    • Can travel Monday-Friday. Some weekend work should be expected

  • Pipe Fitter/Welder II

    As a pipe fitter/welder II there is increased responsibility and expectations on both quality of work and industry practices for proper sanitary installations. In this position you will not be asked to lead any installations, but you will be expected to take guidance from a more experienced worker and perform the task independently with little guidance.

    While a typical road schedule is Monday-Thursday, the job often requires weekends and longer hours to properly support our clients.

    Job Requirements:

    • Tig Welding non-sanitary applications
    • Passes BB-GTAW-8-8-1 for Sanitary Tubing
    • Driver's License
    • OSHA-10hr Training
    • BB Site Specific Safety Training
    • Can travel Monday-Friday. Some weekend work should be expected

  • Pipe Fitter/Welder III

    As a pipe fitter/welder III with Bruns Bros you are expected to be very familiar with both Bruns Bros expectations for quality of work and industry best practices for proper sanitary installations. At this level you may be asked to run a small job or run portions of a large job with the oversight of a foreman. As a pipe fitter/welder III you will be most successful if you can think through to the end goal and work toward that goal in an efficient and well thought out manner.

    At this level you will be expected to understand the various forms of process drawings and perform a proper installation with the guidance of a project manager or foreman. You may also be required at times to interact with the client and effectively communicate how the work will be performed and what the client needs to do or know in order to assure a smooth installation.

    While a typical road schedule is Monday-Thursday, the job often requires weekends and longer hours to properly support our clients.

    Job Requirements:

    • Tig Welding non-sanitary applications
    • Passes BB-GTAW-8-8-1 for Sanitary Tubing
    • Passes BB-GTAW-8-8-2 for Sched Pipe
    • Can perform an installation from engineering drawings
    • Driver's License
    • OSHA-10hr Training
    • BB Site Specific Safety Training
    • Can travel Monday-Friday. Some weekend work should be expected

  • Foreman

    As a foreman for Bruns Bros you will have full responsibility for all work performed by Bruns Bros when on a client site. You will receive guidance and support as needed from a Bruns project manager, but you will handle all communication on site with the client for the work being performed in addition to keeping the project manager informed. The responsibilities will vary from client to client, but in general you will be responsible for assuring a job is completed to Bruns standards once the design and scope has been completed by the project manager.

    Due to the nature of the work Bruns Bros performs on a regular basis, our Foreman are expected to be able to assess and perform in all scenarios while maintaining professionalism. While full support is always there from the project managers, as the highest level Bruns employee on site you will need to problem solve on a regular basis to assure client satisfaction.

    You will also be expected to track time with the assistance of the project manager for all work and all employees when on site and submit this time to the billing department by the end of each week.

    While a typical road schedule is Monday-Thursday, the job often requires weekends and longer hours to properly support our clients.

    Job Requirements:

    • Tig Welding non-sanitary applications
    • Passes BB-GTAW-8-8-1 for Sanitary Tubing
    • Passes BB-GTAW-8-8-2 for Sched Pipe
    • Can install process piping and equipment from all forms of engineering drawings
    • Understands and is able to implement 3A requirements in practice for all installations
    • Can communicate effectively and lead small and large crews as both a worker and site lead
    • Driver's License

    • BB Site Specific Safety Training
    • Can travel Monday-Friday. Some weekend work should be expected
